It's definitely wonderful here. We're basically in the middle of the jungle and the plants and animals are extraordinary. There are vibrant flowers everywhere. When we first got here the air smelled like flowers :)
Yesterday we hiked out through the jungle and then repelled down this rock face about 280 feet in the air. Once we landed on the ground we hiked into some caves. The caves were beautiful and full of stalagtites and stalagmites covered in crystals. We slept in a cave by an underground river last night. They set it up so that we had a little area to cook and a spot to sleep and plenty to eat. Having absolutely no light was a bit surreal when we turned our headlamps off. It was really amazing being able to climb around through piles of broken rock. We even got to slide down a sort of natural mud water slide type deal.
We're now enjoying a lazy day, a bit sore, but definitely content.

Wow, the caves sound awesome. Going to have to try that myself one of these days! :-) Glad to know you're traveling well! Keep having a blast you two!
